Sending the Warmest of Christmas Wishes to All My Friends!

I am also sending apologies to you all for not being around and commenting on your blogs this past month.  For that matter, this is my first blog post since the end of August.  I know, that's bad!

This has not been a usual December for me as it has been one of those months where everything seems to go wrong.  Tom has had continued health problems, my grandson was in a car accident in which he totaled his car and even one of my sweet cats has been ill.  While all this has been going on there's also been more than the usual number of little aggravating things like having fraud charges made on our bank card. Of course, it has also been Christmas time with shopping, wrapping, and other things going on.

Please know I'm really not writing to complain but to let you know why I have not been around.  There's simply not been any time and my stress levels have been pretty high.  Actually, I feel very grateful because with all that has happened the outcomes could have been much worse than they have been.  Tom is doing better, my grandson was not hurt in the accident and even my cat, Zeus, is doing better.  I may not have gotten as much done in preparation for Christmas this year, but hey, we've made it to Christmas Eve!

I've missed all my blog friends more than I can say!  I hope you are all well and enjoying the season.  I am hoping life will calm down a little in January and I can get back to reading and commenting on your blogs.  Please know I have not forgotten any of you and I am sorry I have not been around.

May you each have a peaceful and merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

  1. Dear Bonnie, I have missed reading your always pleasant comments on my and other blogs, too. Please don't ever feel the need to explain to your readers why you have not been blogging - it's life, and it happens to all of us. Blogging is meant to be fun, not a burden, and when other things take precedence, so be it.
I am very relieved to know that your husband and Zeus are doing better, and your grandson was not hurt.
And hey indeed - you made it to Christmas! And you know what - Christmas Eve does not care how much we have prepared (or not), it will still always be there on the 24th of December, for us to be enjoyed and fill our hearts with warmth and love and peace.
All the best to you and yours, dear Bonnie, all the way from Germany.

  15. So sorry for the string of events weighing you down. Good to know that the repercussions weren't as bad as they might have been with folks and cat on the mend, but the cumulative effect of all those worries has to have been very trying for you. Hope the post-Christmas period will bring some calm and quiet. Sending good thoughts your way. Take care of yourself, Bonnie.

    1. Mary, how wonderful to hear from you. Thank you for your kind thoughts and understanding. We all have "off" months I know and the older I get the more I don't handle them very well. But things are looking up and I look forward to a relaxing January.

I do hope you have had a wonderful Christmas and your New Year will start well! Thank you for your friendship!

  17. Oh Bonnie, you have been away for a while. I was sure happy to see a comment from you on my last post. So glad things are getting better...glad your grandson was not hurt and your husband is better. Car accidents are so scary. I worry about my grandchildren all the time. Our Dumperoo is not doing well. He is such a sickly cat. I have a call in to the vet for Monday. Happy New Year to you all!

  18. I am sorry to be so late seeing this. I normally check on your blog regularly to see if I have missed something. It sounds like you have had a lot to deal with...even though things could have been worse. It was still not smooth sailing.

I have been so out of sync myself. I would like to blog a couple times a week on my one blog and do well to do one. I just cannot seem to get it together. And nothing wrong here, except me. And that is nothing physically wrong...just little things.

I am glad Tom is getting better, and sure thankful your grandson was not hurt. And always a blessing when a pet gets better.

I hope you have a Happy, Healthy New Year.

  19. Hi Rose, I'm glad you stopped by. I'm sorry I haven't been commenting recently but this past month has been a bit hectic. I know we all have times like that but it seems like the older I get the more difficult it seems to be to handle a lot at once.

I sure understand what you mean about feeling out of sync with things. That is just how I've been feeling. I need to get back to blogging regularly if things will just settle down around here for awhile.

Thank you so much for your friendship and understanding. It means a lot. Happy New Year to you and your loved ones!

  21. dear Bonnie i remember that i visited your blog and left comment too but today when i came to check it is not here i wonder why ?

i missed you too my dear friend and your generous word so much!

we all love to read each other and like to keep in touch but there are times in life when things take over our all the time and we have to deal with them first ,like my eldest son visited home after three years and the joy we felt was enormous and we wanted to have each other for long and nothing else for while .

i hope your Christmas went well with your loved ones and you and family are doing better as i learnt that your hubby ,your cat both are recovering rapidly .yes there is always some pleasure with sorrow and this way may be life keeps it's balance for us .
blessings to you and all you love!
